Horizon Leader Group (HLG) is pleased to announce the latest additions to its Advisory Board with the appointment of Darrell Burt and William (Bill) Greenhalgh.

Darrell brings to HLG a wide range of financial and legal knowledge and experiences, along with a love of sports, the business of sport, and the role of oversight bodies. Darrell spent 17 years at CIBC World Markets in their Investment Banking and Capital Markets Groups, most recently as a Managing Director in Debt Capital Markets. Prior to joining CIBC, Darrell practiced law for four years, focusing on corporate and commercial transactions. He brings a well-earned reputation for integrity and credibility among clients and colleagues.
Bill has led major organizations in high tech, business services, media, not for profits and energy. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) with its 24,000 Canadian membership. Prior to this, other roles included President of the Globe and Mail, CEO of Thomson’s Western Canada Newspaper Group, President of Cinram International, and various leadership roles at Shred It International, as well as Nortel Networks. He brings his lifelong passion for sport, as an elite level participant, and a leadership coach working with start-ups and a plethora of entrepreneurs.
Darrell and Bill join current HLG Advisory Board members: R. Ian Niven, former Chairman, President & CEO of the investment management arm of BMO Harris Private Banking; Connie Stefankiewicz, former Chief Marketing Officer for BMO Financial Group, and President & CEO for BMO InvestorLine, Inc.; Gordon Smeaton, former executive with the National Football League, responsible for driving the NFL’s business in global markets’; and Stu Grimson, former NHL athlete and NHLPA attorney, and presently an NHL analyst and author.
