Olympian Alisha Smith Joins Horizon Leader Group!

Horizon Leader Group (HLG) is excited to announce further expansion of its world-class Managing Member club with the addition of Alisha Smith (formerly Alisha Tatham), former World Cup and Olympic basketball player.

Alisha will serve as a mentor, brand ambassador, and strategic advisor for HLG’s game-changing services. Alisha commented, “HLG is the perfect platform for me to continue my mission of inspiring others where I can leverage my Olympic-tested principles and career transition experiences to help athletes overcome adversity and welcome greatness into their life. I’m thrilled to be part of HLG’s highly regarded Managing Member Team and look forward to playing a part in the growth of this transformational company.”

The former Canadian professional basketball player spent nine years with the Canadian Women’s National Basketball Team. Alisha’s career was highlighted by a World Cup appearance and participation in the 2012 Summer London Olympic Games (with her teammate and sister Tamara Tatham). Alisha also enjoyed a 5-year professional playing career in Europe.

A Toronto native, Alisha transitioned from basketball to become a Speaker and Performance Coach. She also worked at Rogers Sportsnet in various business functions, including writing articles for their website and magazine. She appeared on national television as a sports personality broadcaster covering the 2016 Olympics and the CIS women’s basketball championship weekend.

Alisha recently joined BDA Sports Management, an agency representing elite International Basketball Players In the NBA, Europe, and Asia. She is a Client Manager, servicing active NBA clients in their business and personal endeavors.

The University of Massachusetts, Amherst graduate obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with in Sport Management. More recently, she completed a Life Coaching Certification program at Alex Ihama’s School of Greatness.
